Bruce, Australia's favourite imaginary man

If Australia had a national bloke, his name would be Bruce. Say 'Bruce' anywhere on Earth and people picture a man in a flannelette shirt holding a stubby. It's slightly unfair on all the lovely Bruces out there, but the stereotype is too strong. Once on every suburban street, Bruce is now more likely to be your uncle than your classmate.
