Sienna, from a Tuscan hill town

Sienna started as a colour — that warm reddish ochre — and the town in Tuscany that made it. Somewhere between the Renaissance and a Hollywood baby, it became a girl's name. Australians took to it quietly, and now you'll find a Sienna on most Sunday soccer squads. Name, colour, place: the full package.
